Hi, you’re looking at a early The Spalding smoothface wood shaft golf club. This early Centerjack back model circa 1897-1900. This club is in fair condition. The smooth head has numerous playmarks, the toe is rusty/pitting and the leading edges has nicks. This early unmarked iron looks to have a loft of mashie/mashie niblick. The original shaft is stamped, has a bend but a small split at the butt but fits tight to the head. The club lenght is 37 1/2″. The grip is worn with some light cracking. Strong playable club.

Up for auction I have a Spalding Made wood shaft 2 wood, with the loft of a 2 or 3 wood. This club dates to about 1925. The head is in good condition, and may be playable. The original wood shaft is straight and feels solid. Looks to be the original grip is in good condition. This club measures 43.5 inches long. I will be listing several nice antique clubs over the next several weeks. I will charge $10.00 to the US. for the first club, and just $1.00 each club after the first. I will also combine shipping for international buyers.
