Very good condition hickory wooden shafted Wright & Ditson splice neck driver. Has quite an elongated head shape indicating a transitional wood. Simply stamped, “Wright & Ditson” on the crown. Vintage is circa 1900, certainly dates 1893 to 1895 era. It is very hard to find American made clubs from the mid 1890’s or earlier. A mere 5 years later golf had literally exploded in America and clubs were being made in very large numbers compared to the 1895 and earlier clubs. Nice old spliced neck or scare neck golf club with no chips or cracks to the wooden head, neck, or shaft. Original wooden shaft has a slight to moderate bend and is without chips or cracks. Shaft has the ‘Wright & Ditson’ stamp with the very tiny block lettering. This size shaft stamp indicates a very early production date. Between the shape of this club head and the tiny shaft stamp, this club dates circa 1895 or slightly earlier. Total club length is 42 3/8. Lie is quite flat which is also indicative of earlier clubs from the 1890’s and earlier. Topped with a very nice newer intact sheepskin grip over underlisting. Grip is in the proper period style. There is a small dent at the edge of the face on the heel side. This area is actually an old period repair where a wooden dowel has been inserted to fix an imperfection in the wood such as a knot. This fix does not indicate a compromised club head. This head is absolutely solid. This imperfection detracts very little from this beautiful club and is really just a part of this clubs history. I would imagine it was played well after this repair was done. Splice head woods gave way to the socket head woods at the turn of the century. Please see my other wood shafted and vintage collectable golf clubs. Some are quite rare. All without reserve. THANKS!

Shows virtually no traces of wear and is nearly impossible to distinguish from new. May show signs of very minor "shop wear", but in most cases, you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference from new…we just have the luxury of a super-duper magnifying glass!
Fine Condition
Shows some visible signs of limited use, but is in fantastic shape and has been exceptionally well maintained. If you look really close, you may see some minor or faint cosmetic blemishes (e.g., very light scuffing and/or scratching), but overall, the luster of new is still very much alive.
Very Good Condition
Shows general wear associated with normal use over the course of a season or more but has been well cared for. Does not retain any of the "new look" but is in better than average condition. There is absolutely no sign of abuse. Cosmetic imperfections are typically visible. Examples include: scuffing, scratching, tiny paint blemishes, shallow dings/nicking, and normal shaft wear. Unless otherwise noted, there are absolutely NO pop-up marks in the crown of any woods.
Good Condition
Shows frequent to heavy use but does not show any signs of abuse. Cosmetic blemishes are clearly visible and may include: pop-up marks, heavy scuffing and scratching, paint chipping, heavy finish wear, shaft burn and pitting, natural dings/nicking/gouges, etc. Ideal for those who are less concerned with cosmetics and are looking for great value and performance!
Fair Condition
Shows substantial wear, heavy use, and obvious signs of abuse/neglect. The performance of this club(s) is perfectly in tact, but it definitely won’t win any beauty prizes. If you can get past the cosmetics, there is plenty of life still in this one!…plus, get it for a steal!
Open Box, Cancelled Orders
These clubs have NEVER been hit! However, they cannot be sold as new as they could have been unhit returns, floor samples, or items removed and returned to the box, without purchase. It is unlikely but Open Box, Cancelled Orders condition clubs could exhibit some minor scuffs on the sole or some other form of shop wear. Typically a very significant value!

For specific small, low value items such as socks, gloves, headcovers, etc. we do offer US Postal Service Priority Mail for shipments within the Continental U.S. Due to unpredictable delivery times and the inability to track shipments, US Postal Service Priority Mail is not available for any of our items for which it is not specifically indicated in our shipping rate table.
For those of you in a hurry, we also offer expedited shipping options including FedEx Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight and 2 Day. Prices for these expedited services are quoted in our checkout system for you to consider.

Customer Pickups:
You are welcome to pickup your order at our West Bridgewater facility Monday through Friday between the hours of 12pm and 5pm EST. If you complete payment for your order by 2pm EST (M-F), you may pick up your order the same day. For orders where payment is completed after 2pm EST (M-F), you may pick up your order the next business day. We are not a retail facility; so orders being picked up MUST be paid for in advance. Massachusetts sales tax of 6.25% will also be applied to all pickups. Please contact us in advance to arrange for a pickup so that we may have your order pulled and waiting for you.

What has the shipping company done for you?…if you’ve answered something like, “…they damaged my package,” please contact us immediately, and we’ll do our very best to take care of it. We insure all of our items for the full purchase price. We will do everything in our power to get you an acceptable replacement or to facilitate a prompt repair. If this cannot be achieved, we will provide you with a full refund.
If the item you receive does not match the order you placed with us, please contact our Customer Service department for assistance. A representative will help you determine the best way to get the correct item to you as quickly as possible.

Condition Related Returns:
We take great care in describing the condition of our products accurately. If you receive your order and feel that the condition is not consistent with our representation, please let us know immediately (within 3 days of receipt), and we’ll do our very best to make you happy. All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA #). Upon receipt of your RMA #, please clearly write this RMA # on the outside of the box containing your return and then ship it back to us. We recommend that you fully insure any item(s) that you return to us just to be safe. As for the return process:
• All returns will be inspected prior to a refund being issued.

Return Policies
At ProGolfSouth, we want you to be happy with each and
every purchase you make with us. We accept returns
for exchange, replacement, refund and store credit. Please
read below for details on how to return your purchase.
Exchanges
If you decide you would like to exchange the product (different size,
different shaft flex, etc.) please contact
us within 7 days for an return authorization number. After 7
days, all sales are final.
The item must be in the same condition as it was received.
Please include payment for shipping the second product.
Returns
If you decide you do not want the product you receive, you have 7 days
to contact us for an
return authorization number. After 7 days, all sales are final.
Original shipping charges are non refundable.
The item must be in the same condition as it was received.
The return is subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Please include a note in the return package describing the

Damaged Shipment
If your item was damaged in transit, please contact us immediately, and

Incorrect Item Received

initial purchase will be combined onto 1 invoice, and the shipping

When will my item arrive?

Domestic shipments may take up to 5 days to arrive. International USPS

Damaged Shipment

You are bidding on a variety of good, clean quality golf balls. Some will have light scuffing, fading, ink marks, logos, and some are perfect. If you lose a few balls a round, than these are the golf balls for you! The majority of the balls will be Top Flite, Maxfli-Noodle, Pinnacle and Dunlop. The box will also include Ultra, Slazenger, Wilson, Precept, Etc. Each ball is cleaned and inspected to make sure there are no cuts or excessive scuffs. Picture is a sample of the type of balls you will get as I have thousands of these type balls. Please review my grading scale below:

(4A ) = MINT LIKE NEW, MAY HAVE A VERY VERY SMALL IMPERFECTION, LOGO AND INK MARKS.
(3A+) = NEAR MINT THESE BALLS WILL BE IN VERY GOOD PLAYABLE CONDITION BUT MAY HAVE A BLEMISH OR TWO AND SOME OR ALL MAY HAVE LOGO, INK MARKS AND SLIGHT DISCOLORATION.

How Whitehawk grades balls: We make every effort to chemically remove marks!
AAAAA – Enough said! Balls are either new or the covers look like they are new. They are beautiful — Mint condition! Our balls will not have blems, marks or logos unless so specified in the ad. Many Sellers allow marks or logos since they do not affect ball flight. We normally don’t! You get a nice, white ball! DARE Balls – even tho these are used, I dare you to mix them with new balls, then tell them apart!
AAAA — These balls may have an extremely light mark that we could not remove or an extremely light imperfection, but nothing that would really affect ball flight. We turn the imperfect side towards you in our advertising pictures so you can see the imperfection, if any. No Logos unless specified.
AAA – These balls will have a light surface blem and/or 2 series of marks (since most Players mark balls on both sides!) No Logos unless specified. This is the cheapest way to play golf — great Value – you get a great ball for only a fraction of the cost! Why spend the money on new balls if you have a habit of hitting them in the lake?! ;-D
AA — These balls all have 1-2 areas with an imperfection or unremoveable mark. The balls look used and they will show small blemishes, scuffs, bubbles, etc.
A/B – These are usually balls of poor quality or one-last-hit balls. Useful for donations and charity fund-raisers where ball quality does not matter. Some balls will be AAA – AA condition!
Freckle Balls — All have a light freckle of a blem, light discoloration, unremoveable mark or other imperfection. One of these is included with almost every order to help with water hazards!
Logo Balls — There is no need to mark your balls when you have a great logo that distinguishes your ball from another Player who has a similar make/model ball!
