Here is a superb example of an early celluloid shoe horn advertising ST. Mungo golf balls. The horn shows a golfer in period clothes and a hatched ball that reads: 1.55 Colonel 1.68. The bottom reads: ST. Mungo MFG. CO. of AMERICA NEWARK N.J. There is a small imprint at bottom of horn: WHITEHEAD – HOAG CO. Measures over 4 1/2 in length and over 1 1/2 inches in width. This item is in great shape, no cracks, and has great color – see pictures im sure there are not many of these out there this is the only one i have found at a recent estate sale was tucked away in a old trunk neat old find. Very good condition hickory wooden shafted Wright & Ditson splice neck driver. Has quite an elongated head shape indicating a transitional wood. Simply stamped, “Wright & Ditson” on the crown. Vintage is circa 1900, certainly dates 1893 to 1895 era. It is very hard to find American made clubs from the mid 1890’s or earlier. A mere 5 years later golf had literally exploded in America and clubs were being made in very large numbers compared to the 1895 and earlier clubs. Nice old spliced neck or scare neck golf club with no chips or cracks to the wooden head, neck, or shaft. Original wooden shaft has a slight to moderate bend and is without chips or cracks. Shaft has the ‘Wright & Ditson’ stamp with the very tiny block lettering. This size shaft stamp indicates a very early production date. Between the shape of this club head and the tiny shaft stamp, this club dates circa 1895 or slightly earlier. Total club length is 42 3/8. Lie is quite flat which is also indicative of earlier clubs from the 1890’s and earlier. Topped with a very nice newer intact sheepskin grip over underlisting. Grip is in the proper period style. There is a small dent at the edge of the face on the heel side. This area is actually an old period repair where a wooden dowel has been inserted to fix an imperfection in the wood such as a knot. This fix does not indicate a compromised club head. This head is absolutely solid. This imperfection detracts very little from this beautiful club and is really just a part of this clubs history. I would imagine it was played well after this repair was done. Splice head woods gave way to the socket head woods at the turn of the century. Here is a cute bear figurine with a golf club in his hand. He is small, measuring only about 2.75″ tall and 1.5″ across. I am not sure of the material he is made out of. It is a hard material. He is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bids!!

I am offering a pair of rather unique William Gibson wooden shafted irons.
Club #1. This is an interesting Gibson club named “The Surrey Iron”. The stamps are a little difficult to see and I am sorry for that. It is also stamped “G. Heron, Peterhead” (no snide comments please). Mr. Heron was professional at Peterhead from 1905 to 1919. The club is 38 3/4″ long and the shaft has a very miniscule bow. There is no play where the head and shaft meet. The grip is very old suede but is not in too good a condition with no underlisting. The head has loft of about a 2 or 3 iron and the toe was made to be very squared off. The face seems taller than usual as well. The shaft is free from cracks splits etc and feels solid. The last picture is of this club.
Club #2. This is a Gibson Rustless “Bee-Line” Long Face Mashie. It is 37 1/4″ long, has a shaft with a small bow but fits tightly to the head and has a very old leather grip that is in poor condition. The club face is nicely stamped with lines and dots and the back of the club is absolutely loaded with stamps. There is also a stamp on the sole that says “Medium Lie”. Check out the pictures as the stamping guy went nust with this pretty scarce club.
I have included quite a few pictures for your help in determining your level of interest.
I have tried to capture all aspects of this item and it’s condition in the pictures but if you need more please contact me.

Beautiful grain on these Macgregor Tommy Armour M85W persimmon woods 1,2,3,4 . The M85 , the most famous and played tour driver. Grips have been replaced with new old stock White MT grips. No neck cracks or epoxy, 2 wood sole has wear. Original stiff shafts, no shaft bands. Driver is 43 inches long.

This is a nice original vintage hickory wood shaft KRO-FLITE golf club. The wood shaft is straight with no cracks and it is wrapped with the original leather grip. The club head reads “KRO-FLITE with the flying crow, Reg US Pat off, Professional Golfers Assn with a golf club, custom made, sweet spot”. The bottom of the iron has the number 7. The face has straight lines with a design in the center and the club has wear from usage. The club is in as found condition and has not been cleaned. This is a nice vintage golf club to add to your collection.
